Privacy Protection and Consumer Rights under GDPR

This section describes our agency’s policy when processing personal data. This policy applies to both computerized and manual data processing.

Processing of Personal Data of Visitors and Users

Our real estate agency is represented by Frédérique Pauporte and its registered office is located at Avenue Louise 404a in 1000 Brussels and is registered with the BCE under number 0554 963 911.

The personal data that the user communicates during a request via our website or during any event organized by BARNES is processed by our agency in order to respond to the user.

Personal data is only transmitted to staff responsible for processing requests. This data may be communicated to persons outside our agency when necessary for processing the user’s request.

If the user refuses to provide certain essential data, our agency may not be able to process the request.

By accepting these conditions, we will send you the requested information, the list of advertisements corresponding to your search criteria, and you will also benefit from free information services concerning our occasional activities and agency services (newsletter,….). This information may be personalized.

No data is collected automatically by the website itself. The only data we process is the data you voluntarily communicate to us. Other information that may be collected automatically is only collected by statistical tools such as Google Analytics and only concerns your TCP/IP address, the brand and latest version of your browser, the web pages visited, while remaining completely anonymous.

We may store an access code and password via cookies. Other information such as your search criteria or the language chosen to browse the site may also appear in the cookie. (A cookie is a small file sent by our server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. It keeps track of the visited site and contains certain information relating to this visit. Our cookies are primarily used to operate the site – technical session cookies).

We may also process data concerning you from third parties such as media portals (Immoweb, Vlan, Logicimmo, …). This data is only communicated to us following a request made via the forms available on their respective websites. Provided you have given your consent, your email address may be used by the agency for the purposes specified above. At the end of the assignment, this information may be communicated to the property owner in accordance with article 2.7° of the Royal Decree of 12.01.2007 but will not be retained by the real estate agent beyond the duration of said assignment.

The information is intended for internal use only and will therefore never be sold to other natural or legal persons, whether related to our company or not. However, this data may be communicated at the request of judicial authorities or police services, without prior authorization from its owner.

We have implemented appropriate security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information received on our site. Data Processing is carried out using computers or IT tools and following procedures and organizational methods strictly related to the stated purposes. In addition to the data controller, access may in some cases be granted to certain categories of persons responsible for website operations (administration, sales, marketing, legal department, system administration) or to external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) appointed, where applicable, as data processors by the Owner. The updated list of these parties may be requested at any time from the data controller.

All our employees/collaborators who have access to your data are bound by a strict duty of confidentiality.

We are not responsible for the privacy policies of websites linked to ours by hyperlinks.

The Data will be retained for as long as necessary to provide the requested service to the User.

Remarketing

We use a digital advertising service called remarketing, operated through third-party advertising networks such as Google AdWords and AdRoll. This service uses the user’s personal data anonymously in order to display advertising for this website based on parameters such as the user’s browsing history on BARNES-Immo.be.

Rights of the Data Subject regarding Personal Data

The holder of the personal data acknowledges having been fairly and fully informed of the processing of said data by the real estate agency. In addition to this right to information, the holder has the following rights :

• Right of access to their data by the person concerned. This means the right to obtain confirmation from the data controller as to whether or not the data is being processed and access to said data.
• Right to rectification of inaccurate information and completion of incomplete data.
